Please be informed that a portion of the Poro Point Baywalk Road will be closed to vehicular traffic on May 22, 2025, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM and May 23, 2025, from 5:00 AM to 12:00 MN, due to an activity at the Ferry Terminal.
Motorists and Baywalk users are advised to take the alternate route during this period. Appropriate traffic signs and personnel will be in placed to assist with rerouting.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
