(CSR) Program Health, Education/Environment, Livelihood Program, and Strengthening Linkages/Sports (HELPS), conducted a medical and dental mission at the Barangay Hall of Barangay San Agustin on December 18, 2025.
In partnership with the 585th Air Base Group Philippine Air Force Medical and Dental Team, the mission provided healthcare services to 150 individuals from Barangays San Agustin, Poro and Canaoay. Services offered included free medical consultations, dental check-ups and tooth extractions, as well as the distribution of vitamins and essential medicines.
This initiative underscores PPMC’s commitment to promoting community health and accessible basic services. PPMC continues its dedication in prioritizing well-being through sustained health programs and collaborative efforts with local government units and military institutions.
PPMC extends its appreciation to the 585th ABG Philippine Air Force Medical and Dental Team for their invaluable support in making this health initiative a success.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
