In line with its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) in collaboration with the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), spearheaded a bloodletting program last August 4, 2023.
The activity, which is part of PPMC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was held at San Fernando Airport and was participated by volunteers from different sectors, including the Philippine Air Force (PAF), PNP Aviation Security (PNP AVSEC), Leading Edge International Aviation Academy, Inc. (LEIAAI), AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT) and La Union Prime Eagles Club (LUPEC).
PPMC employees also volunteered and took the time to contribute to the cause, reflecting the company’s ingrained culture of compassion and unity.
The bloodletting program is part of PPMC’s celebration of its two decades of devoted service and steadfast commitment to support surrounding communities and creating a positive impact beyond its core business endeavors.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
