PPMC Chairman Hon. Nicky A. Oller, President & CEO Hon. Servillano C. Flores, Jr., and Director Atty. Franco Paolo Lasam paid a courtesy visit to Atty. Martin P. Ontog, Executive Director of the Land Transportation Office, earlier today.
The meeting served as an opportunity to reconnect and strengthen partnerships, as Atty. Ontog previously served as a Director of PPMC. His continued dedication to public service and leadership in government remains a source of pride for the PPMC community.
The courtesy visit also underscored the value of collaboration among government agencies in advancing initiatives that promote growth, public service, and regional development.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
