Description:
Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – Program Health, Education/Environment, Livelihood Program, and Strengthening Linkages/Sports (HELPS), joined the San Agustin (Poro) Elementary School for the official kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 1, 2026.
PPMC officially turned over construction materials dedicated for the renovation of the ceiling of a classroom affected by Typhoon “Emong.” This ensures that the students of the San Agustin (Poro) Elementary School are provided with a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment.
PPMC, guided by its commitment to sustainable community development, goes beyond the borders of the Freeport Zone by supporting and investing in the education and well-being of students in its neighboring communities.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
