Promoting a Safer Workplace: PPMC Holds Emergency Drills at AICAT

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), through its Crash, Fire & Rescue (CFR) and Environmental Management and Health Service (EMHS) Teams, conducted a Fire and Earthquake Drill at the AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT) on March 18, 2026.
The training covered key areas such as basic aerodrome firefighting techniques, proper handling and use of fire extinguishers, and earthquake preparedness and response protocols. The activity, which was participated in by 50 individuals, including employees, cadets, and partners, aimed to enhance participants’ ability to respond with efficiency and effectiveness during emergency situations.
This collaborative initiative underscores PPMC’s continued commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and preparedness among personnel and partners.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
