PPMC’s Health Initiative: Promoting Health and Well-being for Barangay San Francisco

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) organized a medical and dental mission on December 13, 2023, at the covered court of Barangay San Francisco, San Fernando City, La Union. This effort aligns with PPMC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program – Health, Education/Environment, Livelihood Program, and Strengthening Linkages/Sports (HELPS).

In collaboration with the Philippine Air Force Medical and Dental Team and the City Health Office, the event drew the participation of 100 residents from Barangay San Francisco. Attendees benefited from essential services, including medical and dental check-ups, the distribution of free vitamins and medicines, and tooth extractions. PPMC expresses gratitude to the committed personnel of the Philippine Air Force Medical and Dental Team and the City Health Office for their valuable assistance in improving the medical and dental conditions of the impacted barangay.

This mission underscores PPMC’s dedication to community well-being, showcasing its ongoing commitment to impact the lives of the people it serves positively. The corporation remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that contribute to the overall health and prosperity of the communities it engages with.

 

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
