Description:
In pursuit of the fulfilment of its core mandate to ensure the conservation and protection of the environment and natural resources, PPMC conducted a beautification program at the Poro Point Baywalk today, July 27, 2026. This initiative is also a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)- Program Health, Education/Environment, Livelihood Program, and Strengthening Linkages/Sports (HELPS).
This activity is in observance of the World Nature Conservation Day which aims to protect the Earth’s natural resources, preserve biodiversity and promote sustainable environment. PPMC employees actively participated by planting two coconut trees each at the Poro Point Baywalk.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
