Description:

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) officially welcomed the new year with its first Flag Raising Ceremony, held earlier today at the Poro Point Freeport Zone. The event was led by PPMC President & CEO, Hon. Servillano C. Flores, Jr., together with PPMC’s officers and employees.

In his message, PCEO Flores emphasized the significance of starting the year grounded in shared organizational values and collective responsibility. “As public servants, let us remain God-fearing, guided by integrity, humility, and respect in every decision and action,” he said.

The ceremony marks the beginning of a year defined by purpose, as PPMC renews its unwavering dedication to its mandate — championing sustainable growth and creating lasting socioeconomic impact for the Poro Point Freeport Zone.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
