The two-day validation involved the review of PPMC’s reported accomplishments and supporting documents to ensure PPMC’s compliance with its committed performance targets. It also covered the Corporation’s financial, operational, and governance initiatives, highlighting PPMC’s adherence to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The successful conduct of this activity reaffirms PPMC’s sustained commitment in delivering quality public service to its stakeholders while promoting good governance and supporting sustainable development.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
