Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region 1 (DOT R1), hosted a consultation meeting on cruise tourism and the Shore Excursion (SHOREX) program on June 9, 2025 at the PPMC Board Room.

The meeting was attended by representatives from PPMC; DOT R1; Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU); City Government of San Fernando, La Union; La Union Association of Travel Tour Agencies; Wallem Philippines and Travel People. The session focused on bolstering cruise tourism initiatives and enhancing tourist experiences across the region. An ocular inspection of the San Fernando International Seaport and Poro Point Freeport Zone was conducted following the discussion.

This collaboration demonstrates PPMC’s strong regional commitment to promoting cruise travel and establishing La Union as a top travel destination for tourists.
