PPMC Receives Special Award for Stakeholder Relationship from GCG.

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) received a Special Award for Stakeholder Relationship from the Governance Commission for Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GCG) during the GCG Awards Ceremony held on November 25, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

The award acknowledges PPMC’s consistently achieving a perfect score in the Stakeholders’ Relationship section of the Corporate Governance Scorecard for Calendar Years 2021 to 2023. This achievement demonstrates PPMC’s unwavering dedication to customer welfare, employees’ health and safety, training and development, community growth, and sustainable practices.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
