PPMC personnel undergo First Aid and Basic Life Support Training

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) personnel participated in First Aid and Basic Life Support Training conducted by the Philippine Red Cross La Union – San Fernando City Chapter on July 24 to 25, 2023 at the San Fernando Airport.
A total of 24 participants attended the Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Automated External Defibrillator Course. The said activity is part of the efforts of the PPMC to train its personnel in safety and life skills.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
