Honorable Pablo C. Ortega, Representative of 1st District, La Union and Poro Point Management Corporation’s (PPMC) President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio are at the Poro Point Baywalk supervising and observing the installations of the Autosweep and Easytrip RFID which are being done today and tomorrow. Today, the motor vehicle caravan that is so far availed of this noble project of Congressman Ortega, has reached 1,137 as of 4:15p.m. and counting.
Those owners of motor vehicles that have not availed of this project are welcome to come to the Poro Point Baywalk tomorrow, beginning 8:00am onwards.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
