The Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) has participated in the 30th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) to promote the investment areas and world class facilities of Poro Point Freeport Zone (PPFZ). The PTM was held August 30 to September 1, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines.
The PTM was participated in by domestic and international visitors, various stakeholders and key players in the tourism industry.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
