PPMC joins the CODE NTF Against COVID-19 Meeting.

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) joins in the visit of the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Team members of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 led by NTF Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr.

The meeting was held on October 22, 2020 at the Agora Events Hall, Thunderbird Resorts. Also present are NTF Deputy Chief Implementer, Testing Czar and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President Secretary Vivencio Dizon, Contact Tracing Czar and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) USec. Jonathan Malaya, DOH Dir. Gloria Balboa and DOH ASec. Charade Mercado-Grande, La Union Governor Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” Ortega III,City of San Fernando City Mayor Alfred Ortega, PPMC President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
