Racadio, PPMC Vice-President for Airport Operations, Dr. Kate Bada, and Ms. Eliza Moconocido, PPMC Manager for Investment and Promotion attended and participated in the said conference entitled “Clark International Airport: PH’s Emerging Gateway to Trade and Logistics.”
The conference and exhibit were organized by PortCalls and the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association (PMTLAI), supported by Clark International Airport (CRK) and Clark Development Corporation.
The business and investment conference and exhibit have highlighted CRK’s ability to facilitate trade, investments, and logistics not only for Clark and its neighboring areas but also for the entire country. It also showcased the developments, including new investments and infrastructure, at the Clark Freeport Zone.
The conference was graced by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary, Jaime Bautista; Bases Conversion Development Authority’s (BCDA) PCEO Aileen Zosa; President of Clark Development Corporation, Ms. Agnes Devanadera, and other key government and business officials.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
