PPMC joins Kabisig Philippine Government Expo and Trade Fair 2018

PORO POINT MANAGEMENT CORPORATION (PPMC) joins the annual one-stop government information exhibit dubbed as Kabisig Philippine Government Expo and Trade Fair 2018 from July 10-12, 2018 at Trinoma Mall, Quezon City .
The annual fair features the profiles, service facilities, programs, projects, accomplishments, products, and services of different government agencies in line with the objectives of PPMC which is to promote and create awareness about the development and investment opportunities inside the Poro Point Freeport Zone (PPFZ).
The theme for this year is “Pamahalaan at Mamamayan: Kapit-bisig sa Pagbabago at Kaunlaran.”
Kabisig Chairman Daniel Guillen said there are over 200 government agencies and over a 100 government owned and controlled corporations (GOCC) that the public is not aware of.
He said the fair will serve as a venue for the public to be aware of these agencies and their accomplishments, which are not usually publicize in the media.
Guillen said they also want the public to gain appreciation of the good works and services of these agencies.
President Rodrigo Duterte has also extended his support to the Kabisig fair.
“May this expo and trade fair update our countrymen on various agencies’ profiles, mandates and accomplishments as well as their products and services. I hope that many of our kababayan will take advantage of this one-stop shop and avail of the amenities that our public offices offer,” he said.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
