PPMC attends the House of Representatives Special Committee on Bases Conversion Meeting.

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) led by its President and CEO, Atty. Felix S. Racadio, attended the House of Representatives Special Committee on Bases Conversion Meeting on December 13, 2022, as one of the resource persons at Penthouse, South Wing Annex, House of Representatives, for the sponsorship and deliberation on House Bill Nos. 357, 530, 1690 and 5816 which all seek to amend Republic Act No. 7227 otherwise known as the Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992, as amended.
In attendance are the Members of the Special Committee on Bases Conversion chaired by Representative Hon. Faustino “Inno” A. Dy V, and Committee Member Congressman Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V of the 1st District of La Union, together with BCDA Chairman Delfin Lorenzana, BCDA President & CEO Aileen Zosa, PPMC President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio, CDC President & CEO Atty. Agnes Devanadera, SBMA Chairman and Administrator Rolen C. Paulino, JHMC Vice President & COO Jane Theresa Tabalingcos and other officers and staff of BCDA and its subsidiaries.
PCEO Atty. Racadio provided to the Committee PPMC’s inputs and position on the proposed amendments on RA No. 7227.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
