Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), led by its President and CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio, attended the State of the Region Address & Press Conference and the Regional Development Council I (RDC-I) 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting held on June 19, 2025, at the Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
PPMC supports the initiatives of RDC-I through continued participation in regional planning and coordination activities. PPMC remains committed toward attaining the RDC Ilocos’ vision of “REACH Region 1” which stands for Resilient, All-inclusive, Competitive, and Healthy Region 1 through the developments inside the Poro Point Freeport Zone.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
