PPMC Attends RDC-1 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting and State of the Region Development Conference.

PPMC, led by its President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio attended the Regional Development Council Region 1 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting and the State of the Region Development Conference on June 28, 2024 held at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union.

PPMC congratulates Ilocos Norte Governor and RDC-1 Chairman, Hon. Matthew Marcos Manotoc on the success of the 2024 State of the Region’s Development Conference (SORDC). The event was hosted by the President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) La Union, Mayor Aleli Concepcion of the Municipality of Balaoan.

During the event, various awards were presented to different agencies. The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur was distinguished as the only Local Government (LGU) to receive the 2023 Dayaw ti Agimanman Saririt Award. This award honored its extraordinary support in furthering the socioeconomic goals of the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) as well as its outstanding performance in programs and projects execution. PPMC congratulates Governor Jerry Singson and the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur for their remarkable achievement.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
