PPMC Achieves Five-Star Rating from the Department of Energy.

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) is proud to announce that it has received a five-star rating for the Audit of Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) today, March 14, 2024.

PPMC’s commitment to energy efficiency shines through in its best practices, earning five-star ratings for both electricity and fuel conservation.

From utilizing efficient lighting bulbs like LED, CFL, and slim-type fluorescent lamps to implementing fuel conservation programs and maintaining official service vehicles, PPMC is dedicated to sustainable efficiency operations.

At PPMC, we recognize the importance of reducing carbon dioxide and other things bad to the environment and at the same time conserving resources for future generations.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
