February 13, 2026

AUTHOR: JGCB

Description:

As part of its ongoing commitment to promote public health, safety, and environmental responsibility, the Poro Point Management Corporation is strictly implementing the No Smoking Policy and the Responsible Pet Ownership Policy within the Poro Point Freeport Zone (PPFZ).

The No Smoking Policy aims to promote public health and maintain safety, and promote a clean environment for PPFZ employees and stakeholders. Smoking and vaping are strictly regulated in accordance with designated areas.

Meanwhile, the Responsible Pet Ownership Policy aims to promote responsible pet ownership while ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and enjoyment of the Poro Point Baywalk park and other areas for all users.

These policies apply to all locators, employees, and visitors inside the Poro Point Freeport Zone as part of maintaining a healthier, safer, and more orderly community.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
