Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) attended the blessing ceremony of the newest addition to the Polaris Top Marine Services Corporation (PTMSC) fleet on May 28, 2026. Joining its royal family—Motor Tugboat (MTUG) Polaris King, MTUG Polaris Queen, and MTUG Polaris Prince—the MTUG Polaris Princess is the fourth vessel of PTMSC.
The blessing ceremony marked a significant milestone to PTMSC, underscoring its continued commitment in strengthening tug and towage operations in SFIS and dedication in its mission to deliver world-class marine services.
PPMC remains committed in supporting initiatives that are essential for harbor efficiency and contributes to the growth in the maritime sector while highlighting strong partnerships across the industry.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
