PAF holds Family Color Fun Run at the Poro Point Baywalk.

The 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing of the Philippine Airforce held a Family Color Fun Run dubbed as “Axel Run, Paint the Skies with Airmen.” The said event was held last June 25, 2023, at the Poro Point Baywalk with 142 participants.
In celebration of the PAF’s 76th Founding Anniversary, the family color fun run aims to generate funds to support the Wallace Air Station’s Morale and Welfare Recreation (MWR) Facilities to include qualified beneficiaries who need financial support for their chemotherapy/surgical operations.

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
