Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), led by its OIC President and CEO, Hon. Servillano C. Flores, Jr., participated in the La Union Investment Forum held at the Awesome Hotel, San Juan, La Union, on November 27, 2025.
Organized by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), PPMC highlighted key investment opportunities within the Poro Point Freeport Zone and reaffirmed its commitment to driving sustainable economic growth in La Union. Through active engagement with investors, industry partners, and local stakeholders, PPMC showcased its ongoing projects and outlined plans aimed at expanding business prospects within the area.
PPMC remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that strengthen regional development and create meaningful partnerships for long-term progress.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
