Representatives from the Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) are participating in the Southern Luzon Logistics Conference & Exhibit 2026 today, July 24, 2026 at the Holiday Inn & Suites Batangas Lima Park.
This event is organized by PortCalls and is aimed to bring together importers, exporters, manufacturers, logistics professionals and supply chain leaders across the CALABARZON region to discuss the key development and emerging opportunities in the logistics sector.
Through its participation, PPMC continues to strengthen its engagement with the logistics industry, explore strategic partnerships, and gain valuable insights that support the corporation’s commitment to enhancing efficiency in trade and investment opportunities in the Poro Point Freeport Zone.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
