In celebration of PAF Unit’s Day, the 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing and 581st Aircraft Control and Warning Group of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) donated 20 pieces of trash bins to PPMC on October 28, 2025. PPMC OIC Chairman Nicky A. Oller accepted the donation.
This initiative aims to strengthen community partnerships and promote environmental responsibility at the Poro Point Baywalk, encouraging proper garbage disposal and helping to maintain a clean and sustainable environment for all visitors.
PPMC extends its heartfelt gratitude to the 580th ACWW and 581st ACWG of the Philippine Air Force for their meaningful contribution and continued support to the PPMC’s environmental efforts.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
