Description:

PPMC, led by President & CEO Hon. Servillano C. Flores, Jr., met with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang and OIC SVP for Conversion and Development Engr. Mark P. Torres, to finalize and secure the approval for the Poro Point Freeport Zone (PPFZ) Housing Project on April 8, 2026.

The proposed development aims to deliver adequate, accessible, and sustainable housing within the PPFZ. This initiative is aligned with the national government’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program, which reinforces efforts to address housing requirements through strategic and inclusive urban development.

The meeting underscores the continued collaboration between PPMC and BCDA in advancing projects that strengthen the PPFZ’s capacity for growth while promoting livable and resilient communities.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
