Bases Conversion Development Authority’s (BCDA) new President & CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang and other BCDA officers personally visited Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) on July 7, 2023. PPMC, led by its President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio, warmly welcomed President Bingcang and company to discuss PPMC’s important concerns and future. The said event was also attended by Members of the PPMC Board of Directors Jeremias Singson Jr., Joel G. Caringal, Warlito P. Guerra, Edgar T. Santos, Sevillano C. Flores Jr., Nicky A. Oller, Abraham M. Mendoza, and PPMC’s Mancom.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
