The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1 – Ilocos Region hosted the closing ceremony of the #PadyakSaGad at the Poro Point Baywalk last December 13, 2024. The event commemorated the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women. #PadyakSaGad used the bike ride to advocate for gender equality, empowerment, and sustainable development while engaging the community in meaningful activities. A total of 30 participants attended the said event.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted the PGLU Olympics Opening on August 30, 2024, at the Poro Point Baywalk. As part of the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary in September, the event’s opening activities featured a Bikeathon, Fun Run, Fun Walk, and Zumba. Dubbed: “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes.” The event was attended by 79 individuals.

The La Union Medical Society conducted a Fun Run at the Poro Point Baywalk on August 3, 2024. The event served as a kick-off for the Lung Month Celebration, intended to raise awareness about lung health and raise funds for various activities, including assistance for the selected indigenous group. The Fun Run had a total of 155 participants.
The Union Lodge 70 F. & A.M conducted a fundraising fun run dubbed “Pataray ni Kuyang for a Cause by Union Lodge 70 F. & A.M” at the Poro Point Baywalk on July 20, 2024. This charitable event demonstrates the organization’s commitment to the Masonic concept of creating a better world. A total of thirty (30) people participated in the fun run. The event proceeds will be used to support public school maintenance through the Brigada Eskwela program.

In line with the celebration of the United Architects of the Philippines – La Union Chapter’s (UAPLU) 5th Inter-Professional Basketball Tournament, the UAPLA conducted a motorcade activity in San Fernando City on July 13, 2024.
Allied professions including the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) La Union Chapter, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) La Union Chapter, the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) La Union Chapter, the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) La Union Chapter, and the Institute of Electronic Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICEP) La Union Chapter participated in the motorcade that opened the event. A total of 18 vehicles participated in the said event.
