PPMC Conducts Public Consultation/Hearing on Port Charges for the International Seaport of Poro Point

Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) held a public consultation/hearing to the imposed, proposed, and to be imposed port-related charges at the Pre-Departure Area, San Fernando Airport, on April 10, 2025.
The event was led by PPMC Director, President, CEO, OIC Chairman of the Board and Port Manager, Atty. Felix S. Racadio, together with PPMC Director Nicky A. Oller, PPMC MANCOM, and representatives of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
The event was to inform port users regarding the different port charges and likewise aimed to gather insights, suggestions, and valuable inputs to enhance the operation and management of the San Fernando International Seaport.
A total of 110 port users, stakeholders and partners from various government agencies attended the said event.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
