PPMC, led by its President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio joined the online flag-raising ceremony of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and its other subsidiaries on October 7, 2024.
The event was graced by Senator Imee Marcos, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, where BCDA Chairman, PMGEN Thompson Lantion made the welcome remark and introduction.
During her keynote address, Senator Marcos commended BCDA and its subsidiaries for their continuous efforts in developing former military bases into an economic hub.
PPMC is committed to supporting BCDA in its mission of transforming former military bases into centers of progress and development.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
