PPMC, led by its President & CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio, together with PPMC Mancom and other officers, participated in the BCDA Subsidiaries Summit at the New Clark City on August 14, 2024.
The two-day planning summit dubbed “Building Collaborative Development Agenda: Leveraging the Potential of the BCDA Special Economic Zones” focused on aligning plans and co-creating strategies to unlock the full potential of the BCDA special economic zones in Pampanga, Tarlac, Bataan, La Union, and Baguio. The goal is to drive inclusive economic transformation across these regions.
The summit was attended by BCDA Chairman Delfin Lorenzana, BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua Bingcang, Clark International Airport Corporation President and CEO Arrey Perez, Poro Point Management Corporation President and CEO Atty. Felix Racadio, Clark Development Corporation Corporate Planning Manager Ar. Tarcisius Tiotuyco and John Hay Management Corporation President and CEO Atty. Marlo Quadra, as well as other officers and staff of the BCDA subsidiaries.
The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
