PPMC conducts Fire Drill Training for the PAF.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) had requested the Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) to conduct a Fire Drill Training for the 585th Air Base Group of PAF last September 8, 2022, to equip its group personnel with basic knowledge in firefighting.

A total of 20 attendees participated in the training activities of basic fire hose connection and proper handling of the nozzle and basic aerodrome firefighting.

This activity aims to continue to enhance the capability of the Air Base Group to prevent fires and respond to them inside the PPFZ in any circumstances.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
