PPMC joins Brigada Eskwela CY 2022

In line with the Brigada Eskwela for Calendar Year 2022 and its theme, “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-aral,” Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) through its Corporate Social Responsibility program – Health, Education and Environment, Livelihood Program, Strengthening Linkages/Sports (HELPS), donated health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies, and food for volunteers to different schools in the City of San Fernando, La Union.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela focuses on the preparation and partnership activities that will support the implementation of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan.

The said donations were received on October 13, 14, and 19, 2022, at the PPMC Administration Building by representatives from Lingsat Integrated School, Nagyubuyuban Integrated School, Sagayad Elementary School, San Agustin (Poro) Elementary School, and Sevilla Elementary School.

 

Ms. Arlyn Bambico from Lingsat Integrates School receives health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies and food supplies from PPMC’s Community Development Officer Ms. Lastina Baguya.
Mr. Mark Francis Munar from Nagyubuyuban Integrated School receives health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies and food supplies from PPMC’s Community Development Officer Ms. Lastina Baguya.
Ms. Jasmin Tadifa from Sagayad Elementary School receives health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies and food supplies from PPMC’s Community Development Officer Ms. Lastina Baguya.
Ms. Teresita Sena and Ms. Ginaflor Jufoten from San Agustin (Poro) Elementary School receives health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies and food supplies from PPMC.
Mr. Charlie Grancolhea from Sevilla Elementary School receives health and safety supplies, construction materials, cleaning supplies and food supplies from PPMC’s Community Development Officer Ms. Lastina Baguya.

Poro Point Management Corporation

The Poro Point Freeport Zone used to house the former Wallace Air Station. The enactment of Republic Act 7227 (Bases Conversion and Development Act) on March 19, 1992 and Proclamation No. 216 on July 27, 1993 effectively transferred the stewardship of the Freeport to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to facilitate its conversion into a productive economic growth center.
